On the occasion of World Entrepreneurship Week, last Friday November 16th was held the contest Deusto Emprende 2012.
Participants had to develop a business idea, applicable to market and innovative, these was judged by a jury composed by Deusto University, arin innovation and Urbegi Group.
Among the 30 projects submitted, 15 of them were selected to be presented in person.
The competition was not oriented exclusively to the technology area, future entrepreneurs came from schools as diverse as computer engineering, civil engineering, communications, business management and tourism.
Among the finalists was decided to give the first award to Yougur, idea developed by Ivan Ornes and Aitor Arechabala, which will greatly improve the service in hostelry, and from right now locally because their ideologues already have some client portfolio.
Also was recognized with the second award Cake Factory, greedy idea promoted by Katherine Amalia Ucar Noguera that we expect to see on the streets of Bilbao soon.
Besides the honorary title and an iPad, both ideas will benefit from the possibility of becoming part of DeustoKabi, brand new incubator at the university, and will also have the support and guidance of expert consultants in entrepreneurship and innovation from arin innovation and Urbegi Group itself at this early stage.
Finally, we take this opportunity to encourage other participants and the future ones to get in touch with us firstname.lastname@example.org to continue our persistance in projects and be able to help in the launch of your initiatives.
